At Nyime Safari Lodge, we offer a unique and intimate camping experience

Step into the heart of the wild and feel right at home. At Nyime Safari Lodge, our 9 well‑equipped campsites offer everything you need for a comfortable stay. Solar power, modern ablution facilities with flushing toilets, and hot and cold running water. Each campsite also has its own private barbecue/braai area, perfect for gathering around the fire and enjoying a true Namibian evening under the open sky.

For a touch of luxury, we invite you to unwind in one of our 4 beautifully furnished Luxury Tents or our spectacular Luxury Chalet. Here in the Buffalo Core Area, every sunrise feels magical and every night brings a sky full of stars.

Luxury Chalet

Experience the beauty of Bwabwata National Park from the water. Our Boat Cruises give you the chance to feel the true spirit of the park while you take in the sights and sounds of the wild. Whether you choose a sunrise cruise or a peaceful sunset journey, you will enjoy a calm yet exciting way to see the rich wildlife of the area. Elephants, hippos and crocodiles are often seen along the river, and you can enjoy delicious snacks and refreshing drinks as you drift through this incredible landscape.

One of the most treasured birds in Namibia, the Pel’s Fishing Owl, is especially prominent along the Okavango River near Divundu and within the riparian woodlands of Bwabwata National Park. Nyime Safari Lodge is perfectly placed in the Buffalo Core Area, right on the southeastern banks of the river. Our morning and afternoon boat safaris glide quietly beneath overhanging trees, creating the ideal setting to spot or hear this remarkable owl from the lodge grounds. The calm twilight hours and the deep horn like hoots that echo across the water create a truly magical and immersive experience.

The Pel’s Fishing Owl is extraordinary in every way. It is one of the largest owls in Africa, reaching up to sixty three centimetres in length with a wingspan of one and a half metres. It has bare spiky toes and a strong bill designed for gripping fish. Unlike most owls, it does not rely on silent flight or facial discs. Instead, it uses sharp vision to detect ripples on the water. Seeing this rare and powerful bird perched above the river or hearing its booming call from the banks of Nyime Safari Lodge is a moment many nature lovers dream of.
