Why Bwabwata Belongs on a Namibia Self-Drive Route

Why Nyime makes an easy, peaceful wilderness stop between Etosha and Victoria Falls.

Guests camping beside the river at Nyime Safari Lodge

Bwabwata National Park gives self-drive travellers something rare: a riverfront wilderness stop that fits naturally into longer Namibia and regional journeys.

Nyime Safari Lodge is close to Divundu, accessible by non-4×4 vehicles under normal conditions and well positioned for travellers moving between Etosha, the Zambezi Region and Victoria Falls.

Confirm road and arrival conditions with the lodge before travelling, especially during seasonal weather changes. Park fees apply, and park gates open at 06:00 and close at 18:00, so plan to arrive before gate closing time.

Guests can keep things easy with a campsite or choose lodge comfort in a luxury tent or room, then add guided activities once on site.
